Job Summary:

Think Accountancy and Finance is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join their team as an Assistant Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to gain valuable experience and work closely with the Head of Finance and the wider group finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input costs into the development appraisals and forecast costs to go.
  • Prepare cashflows and profit projections.
  • Prepare information for board meetings, including KPI reporting and dashboards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.
  • Responsible for posting monthly journals, owning the Trial Balance, ensuring control accounts are reconciled and management accounts prepared.
  • Confirm loan repayments with funders.
  • Be a key member of the new system implementation team.
  • Assist in the preparation of subcontractor financial due diligence reviews.
  • Prepare payment requests.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly VAT returns and identify any errors.
  • Review council tax, business rates, utility bills, and various other costs.
  • Prepare payment requests for expenditure and challenge if costs are within budget.
  • Prepare key project progress reports.

Requirements:

  • Some knowledge and experience of financial and management accounting.
  • A good knowledge of Excel is a must.
  • Enthusiasm and an interest in what the company does as a business.
