Job Summary:
Think Accountancy and Finance is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join their team as an Assistant Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to gain valuable experience and work closely with the Head of Finance and the wider group finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input costs into the development appraisals and forecast costs to go.
- Prepare cashflows and profit projections.
- Prepare information for board meetings, including KPI reporting and dashboards.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.
- Responsible for posting monthly journals, owning the Trial Balance, ensuring control accounts are reconciled and management accounts prepared.
- Confirm loan repayments with funders.
- Be a key member of the new system implementation team.
- Assist in the preparation of subcontractor financial due diligence reviews.
- Prepare payment requests.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly VAT returns and identify any errors.
- Review council tax, business rates, utility bills, and various other costs.
- Prepare payment requests for expenditure and challenge if costs are within budget.
- Prepare key project progress reports.
Requirements:
- Some knowledge and experience of financial and management accounting.
- A good knowledge of Excel is a must.
- Enthusiasm and an interest in what the company does as a business.
