About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Wood PLC. As a key member of our project teams, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of mechanical equipment, including vessels, reactors, and heat exchangers, rotating machinery, and bespoke specialist equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer mechanical equipment to meet project requirements
  • Work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams to integrate equipment into overall plant design
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of mechanical equipment and processes
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals and technical reports
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Requirements
  • Good degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from a reputable university
  • Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) status with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (I.Mech.E.) or working towards chartered status
  • Familiarity with mechanical equipment found in process industries, including vessels, exchangers, pumps, compressors, boilers, heaters, and vendor packaged equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop
