Company Overview: A prominent entity in the manufacturing, servicing, and maintenance of Rolling Stock vehicles.
Position Overview:
- Conducting bogie overhauls, damage repairs, and engineering tasks
- Performing wheel set overhauls, repairs, and assessments
- Executing bogie chassis repairs and cleaning
- Engineering and repairing bogies and gearboxes
- Facilitating wheel exchanges on wheel sets
- Managing bearing, axle, and wheel installations
- Overhauling and analyzing components and sub-assemblies
- Re-engineering and producing spare parts
The role involves executing various mechanical repairs and replacements on Rolling Stock to ensure the delivery of reliable, safe, and defect-free trains to our clients.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual capable of working independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
A comprehensive understanding of Mechanical Engineering is required.
Familiarity with contemporary rolling stock systems is preferred,
Experience in train depot operations is advantageous.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will be time-served and apprentice-trained, holding relevant mechanical qualifications. A minimum of NVQ level 2 in a Mechanical discipline is essential.
Individuals with 18 months or more experience in a Vehicle Manufacturing environment or a similar field will be considered, as training can be provided for suitable candidates.
