About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist in Early Pregnancy, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to women with early pregnancy complications and termination of pregnancy.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide clinical input and leadership for the specialty of Early Pregnancy
- Deliver care for women with early pregnancy complications and termination of pregnancy
- Facilitate the delivery of high-standard care for patients in Acute Obstetrics and Maternal medicine
- Liaise with the management team to develop the infrastructure for the provision of the service
- Accept personal responsibility for the clinical care of patients

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
- MBBS (or equivalent)
- MRCOG or equivalent
- ATSM Benign Gynaecology/Early pregnancy
- CCT and/or inclusion on the Specialist Register of GMC or within six months of Appointments Advisory Committee
- Full GMC Registration
- Advanced Labour Ward Practice ATSM or equivalence either subspecialisation or 'grandfathering'
Experience and Knowledge
- Experience of MDT team working, practice and providing leadership in managing labour ward and acute emergencies
- Recent active involvement in practical intrapartum obstetrics
- Broad experience in obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Able to perform laparoscopic treatment for ectopic pregnancy
Academic Achievements
- Able to demonstrate successful participation in audit
