Role Overview:
We are looking ahead to potential openings for qualified professionals in the field of sports education. While specific working hours and additional details are still being finalized, we invite interested candidates to express their interest now. Our collaboration with Mansfield Town Football Club allows us to provide educational programs tailored for aspiring footballers aged 16 to 21. This position is ideal for a motivated and professional individual with a background in sports, who is eager to contribute to the development and instruction of various sports courses. The primary responsibility will be to educate students enrolled in the Mansfield Town Football Club educational programs.
You will coordinate the delivery of multiple educational initiatives for Mansfield Town FC youth footballers, leading on teaching methodologies, verification processes, and continuous quality enhancement. Additionally, you will be tasked with delivering and assessing both theoretical and practical components of our BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport (2016 specification), alongside the educational aspects of our apprenticeship programs for scholarship players.
The ideal candidate will possess at least a Level 3 or Degree Level qualification in a sports-related field, along with a relevant teaching credential. This role demands high levels of self-motivation, energy, and a strong sense of independence to ensure the delivery and ongoing improvement of programs that provide an exceptional educational experience for learners.
You will create a supportive and professional environment that fosters the academic growth of young footballers. Strong organizational skills, excellent time management, and the ability to build positive relationships with coaching staff and players are essential.
Contract Details:
This position operates during term time only, with payment based on hours worked. Compensation is directly correlated with the time dedicated to work responsibilities. Time off and holidays are unpaid.
Payments are made monthly, one month in arrears, through PAYE, with applicable tax and National Insurance deductions. Statutory holiday pay is accrued for every hour worked and is included in the monthly payment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Desirable teaching qualification (QTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Football coaching certifications
- Degree level or appropriate Level 3 qualification in a sports-related discipline
- Ability to inspire and engage students, demonstrating a passion for education
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A*-C in Maths and English
- Proficiency in IT is beneficial
- Relevant qualification in the subject area, minimum of Level 3
