Job Title: Project QS

We are a rapidly expanding, privately-owned construction company operating across residential, health and commercial sectors, offering services to a diverse range of clients in the UK.

About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in the construction industry, managing all costs related to building projects. You will ensure that projects are completed within budget and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend pre-contract meetings and liaise with Projects team
  • Monitor site activity and variations
  • Manage multiple projects at a time
  • Establish and build good relationships with clients
  • Prepare prices and forecast for the project
  • Source construction and specialist materials costs as required
  • Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
  • Procure contractors and/or subcontractors who will work on the construction of the project
  • Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as loss adjusters, site engineers etc.
Requirements:
  • A good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Project, and the ability to learn how to use specialist software
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
