Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for sub-sea and defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and development of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with defence standards and company procedures.
  2. Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  3. Develop and maintain technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation to support design reviews and customer presentations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements and customer needs.
  5. Provide technical input and support to integrated performance and acceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment from suppliers.
  6. Review and approve supplier documentation, ensuring it meets company and customer requirements.
  7. Support the development of estimates for the scope of work and resources required to deliver electrical systems.
  8. Deliver technical presentations and reports to customers and stakeholders, articulating complex technical arguments clearly and logically.

Requirements:

  1. BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  2. CEng (or be able to satisfy requirements for CEng).
  3. Technical report writing skills and experience in defence standards.
  4. Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle and ability to manage and mentor a team.
