About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Nursery Chef/Cook to join our team at Farley Steeple Langford Nursery School. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for our children, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals for children with specific dietary needs
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including COSHH and Ofsted guidelines
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure stock rotation
  • Deputise for the Cook in all absences and provide full-time cover when required
Requirements
  • Level 2 Food and Hygiene certification
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
