Teaching Personnel presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Information Technology Educator to join one of our partner institutions in the upcoming academic term. The college is situated centrally in Northampton, featuring a spacious campus equipped with outstanding resources for teaching and learning. It also boasts excellent transportation options with various bus routes and a large on-site parking area for those who drive. The institution has received a 'Good' rating from Ofsted and provides a highly supportive atmosphere for both educators and learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging IT lessons tailored for students across different educational stages.
  • Instruct a variety of IT topics, including but not limited to programming, web design, cybersecurity, and digital skills.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes student engagement and creativity.
  • Employ innovative teaching strategies and technologies to enrich the learning experience.
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate IT into the broader curriculum and support cross-disciplinary initiatives.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in IT and education to enhance teaching methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching IT or related subjects.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, software development, and IT systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to inspire and engage students with diverse levels of interest and aptitude in IT.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of technological advancements.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
