LEV Technician

Job Title: LEV Technician - HVAC Engineering Specialist

Job Summary:

Orbital Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled LEV Technician to join our team. As an LEV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and testing Local Exhaust Ventilation equipment and facilities across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough examinations and testing on Local Exhaust Ventilation systems
• Provide technical support on systems such as Fume Cupboards, Biological Safety Cabinets, and other similar bench-top LEV systems
• Carry out technical and engineering duties related to the maintenance and testing of LEV equipment and facilities
• Work with site engineering planning LEV coordinators to generate schedules for maintenance and testing
• Investigate, diagnose, and rectify faults to a proven level of competency
• Take the lead in specific jobs and direct other technicians or contractors

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a related industry
• Ability to achieve high levels of operational performance
• Previous experience within the airflow industry (LEV or HVAC)
• Qualification within an engineering or scientific environment
• High skill level for practical fault-finding, repair, and replacement of parts on LEV systems
• Mechanically minded
• Skilled at assessing risk for all work-based activities
• P600, P601, P602, P603, P304, and P604 Certification required
