Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment and machinery are in good working order.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance as requested by the maintenance manager.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and prioritize repairs accordingly.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork efficiently and accurately.
  • Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment and machinery to the maintenance manager or designated personnel.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all relevant health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Be prepared to work overtime as required and during shut-down periods.
Requirements:
  • A recognized engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a foundry environment or similar.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience in welding and general fabrication work.
  • Ability to read drawings and work closely with them.
