Job Title: Construction and Procurement Lawyer

A leading law firm in Central London is seeking a talented Contentious Construction Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE to join their team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a solicitor with expertise in contentious construction matters to assist registered providers, building contractors, and construction professionals in ensuring excellent client care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Handling a caseload of contentious construction matters
  2. Advising on all aspects of construction contracts
  3. Drafting submissions for adjudication and arbitration proceedings
  4. Representing clients in Technology and Construction Court proceedings
  5. Liaising with clients and other professionals
  6. Preparing seminars and contributing to publications
  7. Business development and growth
Requirements
  1. Solicitors with at least 3 years' PQE in construction matters
  2. Previous experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters is essential
  3. Self-motivated and enthusiastic about business development
  4. Strong academic background, with at least a 2:1 at degree level
  5. Postgraduate course in construction law is advantageous
  6. Familiar with Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998, and the Civil Procedure Rules
  7. Excellent communication skills, commercially aware, and proactive
  8. IT proficient
