Job Title: Assistant Professor, Computer Science

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor to join our Department of Computer Science and Technology. The successful candidate will contribute to research and teaching in the area of Wearable Computing, with a focus on systems/device aspects and wearable data machine learning.

About the Role

The Department is one of the world leaders in wearable and mobile systems, with a strong track record of pioneering contributions and vibrant current research. We are looking for a candidate with outstanding research credentials in the general area of wearable computing and sensing, machine learning for wearable signals, and on-device computation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in wearable computing and sensing, with a focus on systems/device aspects and wearable data machine learning.
  • Teach undergraduate and Master's courses in computer science, with a focus on wearable computing and sensing.
  • Supervise research at Masters and PhD level.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different subdisciplines in Computer Science and Technology and with other academic disciplines.
Requirements

We welcome applications from researchers with interdisciplinary interests who have a strong international track record of publication, with a focus on topics generally covered by ACM SIGMOBILE venues. The ideal candidate will have a strong international visibility and evidence of community service and impact commensurate with their research area and experience.
