About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented D & O Underwriting Assistant to join our team at SCOR. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our underwriting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwriting Support:
    • Enter new business and renewal information into our policy administration system, adhering to underwriting guidelines and timelines.
    • Manage the administration of our portfolio tool to provide valuable management information.
    • Track the status of all risks through every stage of the risk cycle.
    • Monitor upcoming renewals and new risks in the business pipeline.
    • Research submissions using industry-standard sources.
    • Provide pre-underwriting and rating support to underwriters.
    • Ensure adherence to Lloyd's Minimum Standards, including Pre-Bind Quality Assurance.
  • Broker/Client Interaction:
    • Provide exceptional service to brokers, clients, and third parties.
    • Maintain and develop key relationships, responding to queries in a timely manner.
    • Prepare briefs, attend, and take minutes for client and broker meetings as required.
    • Liaise with brokers to ensure accurate and complete information is received on time.
  • Reporting & Operational Requirements:
    • Provide accurate management information to the underwriting team and senior management.
    • Produce ad hoc reports, presentations, and team literature as requested.
    • Monitor credit control and aged debt, ensuring timely collection of premiums.
    • Ensure data verification checks are completed in a timely manner.
    • Provide reporting for weekly meetings.
  • General Requirements:
    • Participate in cross-team projects.
    • Manage training needs through relevant training and exams.
    • Carry out additional responsibilities as defined through your objectives.
    • Achieve agreed training programme, including understanding risk decisions and underwriting.
    • Acquire knowledge of Electronic Trading Platforms.
