Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at CAE, Inc. in a hybrid working environment. As a key member of our Europe & Africa regional financial reporting and accounting team, you will be responsible for providing complete and accurate external and internal financial reporting requirements for the entire region on a timely basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage banking transactions, including journal postings and reconciliations
  • Administer the expense claim process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Responsible for prepayment accounts, including journal postings and reconciliations
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers
  • Complete monthly revenue reconciliations
  • Participate in the inter-company confirmation process
  • Prepare Month End Packs (MEP) and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant legal filing requirements
  • Prepare corporation tax computations for all legal entities within the region
  • Prepare statutory accounts for all legal entities within the region
Requirements
  • Part qualification towards an accounting qualification with a focus on external reporting (e.g., AAT, ACCA, ACA)
  • Full understanding of financial accounting to trial balance
  • Advanced knowledge of VAT
  • Ability to work successfully with multiple foreign currencies
  • Flexibility to adapt role and tasks to changes in the business
  • Investigation of nominal account ledgers and support in the resolution of queries
  • Computer skills - advanced knowledge in the use of financial software applications (ERP), databases, spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Fluency in English and desirable in Spanish, both verbal and written
