About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech Therapist to join our inpatient Speech and Language Therapy team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex communication and swallowing difficulties
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and students
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Postgraduate training or relevant experience in working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
