We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Red Lion East Haddon. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Oversee the kitchen team, ensuring that all staff are trained and aware of food safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Manage food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to achieve a strong food margin and labor within budget.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to ensure that all kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 months of experience as a Sous Chef in a busy food operation.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the kitchen team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the Head Chef, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team.
  • Passion for food quality and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
