Adult Social Worker Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join our Learning Disability Team at Reading Borough Council.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our service users and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. To deliver person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their engagement in structured day activities and development of independent living skills.
  2. To manage safeguarding issues professionally, liaising with stakeholders and protecting the reputation and interests of the service.
  3. To build strong relationships with internal and external partners, including Local Authority, CQC, and Primary Care Trust commissioners.
  4. To lead the team in delivering high-quality care and support, maintaining satisfactory care standards.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  2. Social Work qualification (Diploma in Social Work, Social Work degree, or equivalent).
  3. Aftercare service delivered by Candidate Care Team.
