The Expense Strategic Change team is tasked with delivering high-quality analysis across all Simplification programme initiatives, providing insights and decision support to the Group Expense Controller and Strategy and Transformation stakeholders. This is essential for achieving the Group's and Segments' objectives and strategies related to Simplification.The team oversees all project accounting, associated reporting, and stakeholder management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Expense Analyst, you will be integral to the Strategic Change team, supporting Transformation programmes in developing business cases and ensuring accurate cost accounting. This will involve conducting expense analysis for both business and Senior Finance stakeholders.
You should possess substantial experience with accounting principles, including the ability to analyze data from finance ledgers and project forecasting tools.
A keen attention to detail is essential, alongside the capability to produce high-quality, timely deliverables.
You will need to demonstrate agility and pace in your work, escalating issues as necessary while maintaining credibility, professionalism, and strong personal integrity.
Excellent communication skills are required, enabling you to convey problem solutions effectively through oral, graphical, and written means.
You should also show a collaborative spirit, working alongside all stakeholders and third parties to foster strong relationships and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant with a robust understanding of Finance operations and a varied appreciation for its strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
Experience within a Finance function in Financial Services, including capital, regulatory, and liquidity requirements, is essential.
Familiarity with engaging multiple stakeholders and adhering to tight deadlines in a results-oriented manner is crucial.
You should have a track record of thriving in a high-performance, growth-driven environment, with a commitment to excellence.
