About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vehicle Technician to join our team at Stephen James (Automotive) Ltd. As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking complex diagnostic work on all vehicles, including electric and hybrids, and maintaining, repairing, and replacing worn or malfunctioning parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake complex diagnostic work on all vehicles, including electric and hybrids
  • Maintain, repair, and replace worn or malfunctioning parts
  • Communicate with the service manager regarding work progress and any additional repairs identified
  • Provide quality videos for customers
  • Mentor apprentice technicians and assist other technicians
  • Contribute to the success of the Workshop Team and meet individual and team activity targets
Requirements
  • Senior Technician with Level 3, ATA/IMI Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance qualification or equivalent
  • Proven senior experience working at a main manufacturer working on complex diagnostic faults
  • Ideally, hybrid trained up to level 3 to 4
  • Able to assist and coach colleagues with technical assistance
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and have a valid clean UK Driving Licence for a minimum of 1 year

Benefits
  • Basic salary £38,000 to £41,000 (depending on diagnostic experience and Hybrid level 4 qualification) with an OTE of £70,000 + per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with Sat, 8am to 12.30pm on a 1 in 4 rota basis, paid as overtime
