About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join our in-house legal team at JLR. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in defending the company against matters brought by third parties.

As a Litigation Solicitor, you will be responsible for advising on and managing global commercial litigation matters of high value and complexity. You will gather or oversee the gathering of evidence, ensure JLR meets any obligations or requirements, and instruct and manage external legal counsel globally.

You will also negotiate and influence senior management and other stakeholders in decision-making arising from the litigation. Your working knowledge of key legal practices and principles for the UK, EU, and globally will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and advise on global commercial litigation matters of high value and complexity.
  • Gather or oversee the gathering of evidence and ensure JLR meets any obligations or requirements.
  • Instruct and manage external legal counsel globally.
  • Negotiate and influence senior management and other stakeholders in decision-making.
  • Apply working knowledge of key legal practices and principles for the UK, EU, and globally.
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing commercial litigation cases, litigation drafting, and dispute resolution.
  • High commercial acumen with the confidence to challenge and question where needed.
  • Ability to quickly analyze and assimilate legal advice covering multiple jurisdictions.
