Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Senior Web Developer to join our expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to work on WordPress and WooCommerce projects developed entirely in-house, with minimal reliance on plugins or templates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in project proposal discussions with the development team, project managers, and designers to contribute to the development of innovative web solutions.
  • Assist with wireframe development to create visually appealing and user-friendly web applications.
  • Build and maintain WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores, ensuring high-quality and secure code.
  • Develop custom web applications that drive business processes and meet client requirements.
  • Cross-browser and device testing, including debugging, to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Monitor server health and uptime to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with creative and account management teams to deliver client solutions and meet project deadlines.
  • Provide support for existing client websites and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Attend team and company-wide meetings, as well as client meetings when required, to ensure effective communication and project coordination.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in a similar environment, ideally with development agency work.
  • Advanced knowledge of WordPress and the block editor.
  • Proficiency in PHP back-end development.
  • Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and formats like JSON and XML.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and logical thinking.
  • Ability to use Photoshop and Figma to export and optimize assets.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Experience with command line utilities on Mac and/or Linux.
  • Awareness of the latest web trends and open-source projects.
