Position Overview
At SecureCloud+, we are in search of a skilled and motivated Automation Platform Specialist to become a vital part of our team.
The successful candidate will take charge of designing, executing, and sustaining automated solutions that facilitate the swift and reliable rollout of new services.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
- Lead the architecture, development, and execution of automation solutions for the deployment, monitoring, and management of both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure and services.
- Promote ongoing enhancements in automation practices to optimize development workflows and improve release processes.
- Advocate for the establishment and management of automation-centric CI/CD pipelines to automate platform deployment and ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Develop and uphold infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
- Implement and oversee containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and scaling, with a strong focus on automation.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to weave automation into every facet of platform deployment and support.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in platform automation, DevOps, and cloud-native technologies, driving their integration within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
As an Automation Platform Specialist, you will possess:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a related role with a significant emphasis on automation.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with a strong focus on automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, particularly in automating infrastructure deployment and management.
- A solid background in configuration management tools such as Ansible, emphasizing automation.
- Experience with source management tools.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift, with a focus on automation.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to automation-driven issue resolution.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to work effectively within a team environment.
Security Clearance
UK Security Check (SC) clearance is necessary for this role. Candidates must either possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with the potential for UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.
