Job Title: Data Scientist

Job Summary:

Sphere Digital Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join their dynamic team. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for applying analytical, problem-solving, and coding skills to various retail data sources to extract valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract Insights: Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to extract valuable insights from retail data sources.
  • Process Improvement: Build efficiencies and improve processes that enable the insight team to run campaign evaluations faster and more accurately.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the client's data science team to ensure optimal use of data in targeting and evaluating retail media.
  • Campaign Performance: Leverage data to understand campaign performance, including building audience control versus exposed groups using Machine Learning methodologies, and evaluating the impact of media campaigns.
  • Metrics Development: Identify and implement new metrics for a deeper understanding of campaign performance, such as CLV and CAC.
  • Channel Analysis: Trail new approaches to measure how various channels (off-site, on-site, in-store) work together to drive uplift for brands.
  • Deliver Innovative Solutions: Deliver innovative analytical approaches to provide best-in-class service to clients.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Education: Preferably a degree with strong quantitative elements or equivalent experience in handling large datasets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex results to non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
  • Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau is desirable.
  • Retail Data Experience: Prior experience analyzing retail data and marketing metrics is preferable.
