Job Description

Keltbray Infrastructure Services is seeking a highly skilled HSQE Advisor to join our team in Norwich.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert health, safety, quality, and environmental advice to our site staff and management team. This will involve conducting inspections, providing guidance, and promoting safe working practices.

The role will also involve:

  • Identifying and mitigating potential hazards and risks on site
  • Assisting the operational team with reviewing CDM documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Developing and maintaining a positive HSQE culture within the organization
  • Providing support and advice to staff on sustainable practices and environmental management
  • Ensuring all requirements and findings are closed within the required timescales

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, quality, and environmental management, with experience in the renewable energy sector. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
  • Develop and implement effective HSQE policies and procedures
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on HSQE best practices
  • Assist with the development and implementation of sustainable practices and environmental management systems
  • Collaborate with the operational team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH NGC certification
  • IOSH Membership Grad – Chartered (or equivalent)
  • IEMA Practitioner member or above (or equivalent)
  • PETALS certification
  • Mental Health First Aider certification
  • Driving Licence
  • Kelvin Top Set 1 day 1 - 3
  • Report writing course
  • Behavioural Safety Training including TCUP

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CSCS certification
  • EUSR certification
  • PTS certification

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Understanding of working methods and industrial knowledge across the infrastructure services sector
  • Basics of management systems and site inspections
  • Experience in reviewing CDM documentation and industry standards
  • Sustainability and carbon capture knowledge

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime when required
  • Ability to use IT systems including Microsoft 365 and HSQE specific systems
  • Excellent time management and relationship skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly

  • Hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent standard of written and numerical literacy
