Installation Engineer - Plantforce Digital

Plantforce Digital is a leading supplier of specialist GPS solutions to the Plant hire business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Plantforce Digital division with the installation of Trimble Earthworks, GCS900, and Leica MC1 machine control systems on site for customers or in one of our depots situated around the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery and fitting of wiring harnesses to pre-approved specification on customer sites
  • Calibration of harness
  • Welding and fabrication of sensor brackets and mast mounts
  • Installation of human form recognition cameras, height and slew restrictors, and other innovations as the role develops
Requirements:
  • Full driving licence
  • Sound auto-electrical/mechanical knowledge
  • Digital machine control systems knowledge (Trimble Earthworks and Leica MC1)
  • Previous experience of setting up and calibrating excavators and dozers
  • High standard of welding/fabrication to include hot works
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams
  • Understanding of Risk assessments and method statements
