We are pleased to present an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual to become part of our team in Basildon, Essex as a Service Charge Financial Analyst.

This role is a full-time, temporary position that supports a hybrid working model. The Service Charge Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing a high standard of service to service charge contributors and various stakeholders.
Key Requirements:

- Proven experience in service charge analysis, with a comprehensive understanding of both residential and commercial service charge management, including adherence to current legislative standards and industry best practices.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage various tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with local authorities, community members, and external partners.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial and numerical assessments.
- Familiarity with current regulations and best practices in service charge management.
- Previous experience within a Housing Association is advantageous.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Role Responsibilities:

- Accurately calculating, constructing, and issuing all estimated and actual service charges, ensuring compliance with legal deadlines, contractual obligations, policies, and procedures to facilitate full cost recovery, particularly in complex cases.
- Delivering a customer-focused, expert service for service charge contributors, addressing resident inquiries directly to resolve intricate customer issues and collaborating with internal teams to ensure the resolution of complaints and disputes.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of systems and processes necessary for the transformation of Service Charge delivery.
- Working proactively with management to aid in the integration and oversight of legacy systems and stock, while contributing to the creation of standardized best practices and processes.
- Reviewing and updating procedures to ensure complete recovery of service chargeable expenditures.
- Maintaining strong collaborative relationships with key budget holders and service managers to enhance scheme knowledge and ensure accurate allocation and consistent setting of service charges.
