A leading national firm in the equity release sector is seeking a skilled and driven Technical and Compliance Manager (Residential Conveyancing Solicitor) to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional to take a leadership role within a dynamic law firm.

The Technical and Compliance Manager's Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical legal advice program and provide supervision and support to the firm's transactional teams.
  • Work closely with the Group Compliance Director to ensure the advice provided is compliant with trade standards and SRA regulations.
  • Develop policies, monitor operations, and drive improvements in quality control systems.
  • Lead and develop a team of solicitors and legal professionals, helping them achieve their career goals.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience handling a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
  • Strong expertise in sale, purchase, remortgage, and leasehold matters.
  • Experience with unregistered properties and SDLT requirements, including relevant reliefs and exemptions.
  • Team management experience, with the ability to coach and mentor staff.
  • Knowledge of equity release and bridging transactions (advantageous but not essential).
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
