Job Title: Lighting Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lighting Design Engineer to join our team at BMS Performance. As a Lighting Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical systems for outdoor lighting infrastructure, including columns, masts, and high-performance exterior lighting fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed designs and specifications for exterior lighting systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements for new projects, evaluating the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of electrical components and systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure materials and components, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions, leveraging your expertise in electrical engineering principles and relevant design software.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in exterior lighting design, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and relevant design software.
  • ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma is desirable, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design innovative solutions.
