Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to lead our technical direction and shape the future of our organization. As a key member of our architecture team, you will drive innovation, foster collaboration, and provide strategic guidance to ensure our solutions align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Architects, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Solution Design and Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to design end-to-end technical solutions that address complex business challenges.
  • Technical Strategy and Roadmap: Define the technical vision and strategy, developing and maintaining an architectural roadmap that considers emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the enterprise architecture team to ensure cohesive solutions and bridge the gap between business needs and technical feasibility.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks related to architectural decisions and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and guidelines, promoting best practices for solution design, development, and deployment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present architectural proposals to executive leadership and project teams, articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, attending conferences and participating in technical communities, and encourage innovation within the team and across the organization.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, system analysis, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in an IT solution development discipline, with exposure to multiple technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
  • Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
  • Experience working in a relevant industry is helpful, but not required.
  • Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps, and delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences.
  • Data savvy with knowledge of various aspects of a technology architecture, including integration, network, and security.
  • Proven analytical, planning, organizational, and technical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring technical teams.
