Buckden Partners is seeking a seasoned financial professional to join their team as a key member of the finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record of providing timely and accurate financial analysis, reporting, and cash flow management.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be responsible for providing financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and decision-making. This is a hands-on role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and maintaining the company's long-term budget planning tool, ensuring that it accurately reflects the company's financial performance and drivers of business growth.
  • Overseeing and producing company financial reporting, including monthly board packs and consolidated reporting to investors, in line with contractual timelines.
  • Creating detailed short and medium-term cash flow forecasts, to ensure that the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its financial obligations.
  • Providing expert guidance on investment cash flows, including those related to the company's SPV vehicles.
  • Leading the annual budget process, working closely with the group executive team to develop and implement a comprehensive budget that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Improving cost control, by managing cost centre reporting and business partnering to optimize the company's cost-income ratio.
  • Developing and implementing financial KPIs, to measure and track the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Presenting financial analysis and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including the senior management team and investors.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Qualified accountant status, with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in financial services, with a strong background in banking or investment.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create complex financial models and presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex financial issues.
  • A robust, cool, and calm personality, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
