Job Title: Aesthetic Field Service Engineer

Proactive Global is seeking a highly skilled Aesthetic Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and support to our clients across the UK.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering to join our team as a Field Service Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for traveling to various customer sites across the UK, providing call-out support for emergency breakdowns, and performing scheduled service work on automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Fix, maintain, and troubleshoot conveyor systems incorporating relay PLC logic controlled components-optical sensors, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachos, and encoders.
  2. Undertake occasional scheduled service work in accordance with the standards set out in the relevant manufacturer's equipment manual.
  3. Provide a 24hr x 7day emergency on-call service as required.
  4. Coordinate and execute the service jobs according to our SLA.
  5. Facilitate coordination of the customer service team in the UK and liaise with the team at HQ.
  6. Ensure the quality of output.
  7. Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment policies and other relevant regulations ensuring accurate recording and reporting of any incidents, accidents or near misses.
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of field service experience and a strong track record in a similar role.
  2. Working experience on automated equipment such as cranes, lifts, and conveyors.
  3. Experience with PLC and controls is advantageous.
  4. Electrical and electronic principles.
  5. Blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  6. Knowledge of MMS (maintenance management system) programs and implementation.
  7. Preventative maintenance procedures.
  8. Industrial electrical, controls, electronics.
  9. PLCs - knowledge of Siemens S7 and/or Allen Bradley.
  10. NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering (electrical or mechanical).
  11. Full UK Driving licence.
  12. Experience of working within a similar role (FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Waste to recycling, Baggage Handling, Automated warehousing).
