Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant in our Inpatient Unit at HMP Elmley. As a key member of our integrated healthcare team, you will work alongside nurses, pharmacy, and doctors to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients in support of a registered nurse.
- Work unsupervised for significant periods, demonstrating initiative and autonomy.
- Undertake extended roles in patient-focused health promotion activities and programmes.
- Contribute to the provision of a range of quality services to Kent Prisons as part of the Integrated Healthcare Service.
- Care experience, with the ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to assess risk and care plan effectively, understanding the needs and rights of people.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
