About the Role:
- Lead a region that includes six sites, with approximately 3,000 Customer Service Team Members (van drivers), and manage a fleet of around 1,500 vehicles.
- Develop and implement regional strategies that align with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Integrate new managers into your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on fleet optimization, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the complexities of large-scale delivery logistics, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resources to meet financial targets.
- Ensure that health and safety standards are consistently exceeded across all sites.
About You:
- Experience in managing high-volume delivery operations with large fleets and large headcounts in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong commercial background, ideally with multi-retailer exposure.
- Proven experience in improving customer and employee experiences while driving operational metrics.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder management, team development, and performance management.
- Ability to handle the complexity of shift work and on-call requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and a track record of improving KPIs through strategic thinking.
- Knowledge of fleet management, distribution logistics, and operational compliance.
- Proven track record of self-development.
- A current UK Driving Licence (minimum three years) with 3 points or less and CPC international qualification.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant fleet management or logistics systems.
