This is a key position within the Chambers Waste Group Plc, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the finance department, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the finance department, including the accounting team, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes to support business growth and decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director to identify areas of commercial risk and opportunity, and develop strategies to mitigate or capitalize on them.
- Lead and develop a team of 8 finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Partner with the Operations team to ensure that financial systems and processes are aligned with business needs.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws.
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.
- Strong experience in management accounting and financial planning and analysis.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of finance professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop strategic recommendations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
