About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Support Manager to join our team at Miquill. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional food operations and making school mealtimes fun and exciting for our customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the catering operations for a number of Primary & Secondary school contracts within their region, working closely with our Operations Manager to lead our teams in delivering high-quality services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operations Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to our on-site teams, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources to deliver exceptional services.
  • Catering Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our catering services, ensuring compliance with health and safety, food safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Team Development: Identify training and development needs for our staff members, providing guidance and support to help them grow and progress in their careers.
  • Business Development: Support the Area Manager in new contract mobilisations, helping to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to drive growth.
  • Customer Service: Create an environment of consistently fantastic customer service, ensuring that all visitors and diners have an unforgettable experience.
  • Compliance and Audits: Conduct regular audits and report findings, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards and exceed company expectations.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or catering industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of food and safety legislation, as well as exceptional customer service skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Skills: Analytical skills, with the ability to examine data and results, and thrive in an environment with high levels of interaction with people.
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as hospitality management or business administration.
