Company Overview: Comanos is at the forefront of developing large-scale renewable energy initiatives across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and the US. We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Planning & Consents Manager to enhance our development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with renewable energy developers on diverse projects, including electric vehicles, hydrogen, solar, and micro-renewables.
  • Oversee and facilitate the planning process.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Provide pre-application guidance, including screening, scoping, and drafting reports.
  • Coordinate necessary survey activities.
  • Manage the submission of planning applications.
  • Handle consent management, including appeals as necessary.
  • Monitor compliance during both construction and operational phases.
  • Engage with stakeholders and local authorities effectively.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • In-depth understanding of planning and environmental regulations in the UK.
  • Proven experience in various renewable energy sectors such as electric vehicles, solar, and hydrogen.
  • Possession of a degree and chartered membership with the RTPI.
  • Experience with Development Consent Orders (DCO).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing formal pre-application and consenting processes for commercial renewable energy projects.
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
