Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pipework Workshop Manager to join our team at Aqumen Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process of projects, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Estimating department to understand contract requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant codes and industry standards throughout the manufacturing process, including ASME VIII, PD5500, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, CE, and UKCA Marking.
- Study fabrication drawings to identify potential issues with materials or manufacturing, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Create and review bills of materials, mindful of budgets and delivery requirements, to ensure efficient project execution.
- Prepare work packs for fabrication and produce production schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct daily progress checks and communicate with workshop supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Organize sub-contract activities and interact with third-party inspectors and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Address all commercial issues prior to project completion and report relevant information to company directors.
Requirements:
- Time-served pipefitter with a sound engineering background in the Petro-Chemical, Oil & Gas, or similar industry.
- Excellent management and organization skills in a similar role.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly with Word and Excel.
- High level of mathematical and numerical competency.
- Strong communication skills.
