An exciting opportunity exists for a Versatile Maintenance Engineer to become a key member of a leading Chemical Manufacturing organization.


This permanent, days-based position will involve collaborating with the Engineering team to ensure the efficiency and safety of chemical production on a COMAH Site. Responsibilities will include upgrading and installing new equipment as necessary, as well as maintaining existing systems.


Key Responsibilities of the Versatile Maintenance Engineer:
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance and inspection schedules on site machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Adhere to the site's Permit to Work and risk assessment protocols.
  • Accurately complete job records and update them as needed.
  • Maintain liquid transfer systems, relief devices, pumps, tanks, valves, gaskets, and other site equipment.
  • Assist in the design and upkeep of electrical systems to meet current specifications and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate for the Versatile Maintenance Engineer role will possess a HNC or equivalent qualification in an electrical or engineering discipline, along with hands-on experience and a proven track record of success.

Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly within the Chemical sector and familiarity with COMAH regulations, would be advantageous. An 18th Edition qualification is also desirable.
