Position Overview

Our dedicated Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) is seeking a highly competent, professional, and motivated individual to enhance our expanding team. The successful candidate will initially be tasked with delivering a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the CMHT while collaborating closely with the Area Administration Manager and Team Leaders. The initial focus of this role will involve evaluating existing administrative workflows, pinpointing enhancements, and executing necessary changes.

You will manage your own workload effectively and delegate tasks to a small group of administrative staff. A strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction is paramount, aligning with the core values of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Candidates must exhibit exceptional attention to detail along with proficient administrative and typing capabilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to stay organized and demonstrate advanced IT proficiency. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is required.

Additionally, candidates should show the ability to work collaboratively within a team and prioritize tasks effectively to meet service demands. Previous experience in a fast-paced administrative or secretarial setting is crucial.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Area Administration Manager and Clinical Leads in developing and maintaining a high-quality administrative service.

- Provide direct oversight for administrative staff, including conducting one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations.

- Coordinate and support secretarial and administrative functions for clinicians and other non-medical personnel. This includes organizing departmental and clinician workloads and serving as the primary contact for complex inquiries from patients, caregivers, and other professionals, as well as liaising with external organizations.

- Ensure compliance with guidelines and policies through shared learning. Review and implement procedures, ensuring that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are adhered to across various teams while providing support and coverage as needed.

This role will encompass responsibilities across two teams.
