Reception Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our team at a Good Ofsted-rated school in Chinnor, Oxfordshire. As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our Reception students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure academic success
  • Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of teaching and learning
  • Participate in school events and activities that promote student engagement and community building
Requirements:
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in Reception teaching
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in the classroom
  • Excellent classroom management skills and ability to engage and motivate learners
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of students
