**Job Title:** Quality Assurance Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Edwin James Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, as well as maintaining accurate and detailed inspection records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Ensure Compliance:** Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • **Inspection and Record-Keeping:** Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including inspection reports, test results, and certifications.
  • **Collaboration and Communication:** Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure effective communication throughout the organization.
  • **Document Management:** Maintain and update project documents, including Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Asset Registers, Technical Submittals, Weld Logging, and Pressure Testing Schedules.
  • **Document Control:** Ensure all company documentation is fully filed, both in hard and electronic copy, with up-to-date tracking logs.
  • **Document Transmittals:** Control the flow of documents in and out of the department and manage document transmittals effectively.
  • **Information Retrieval:** Assist the project team in searching and retrieving documents and information as needed.
  • **Equipment Maintenance:** Review and maintain applicable equipment and tools for inspection with valid calibration certificates, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • **Equipment Malfunction:** Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to appropriate personnel.
  • **Quality Assurance:** Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits and process improvement activities.
  • **Procedure Development:** Assist in the development of quality control procedures and work instructions.
  • **Reporting and Monitoring:** Provide management tools, such as Status Reports and Input Audit Reports, to support project monitoring and reporting.
  • **Project Sign-Off:** Compile Project Sign-Off documentation.
  • **Compliance and Standards:** Manage compliance to international quality standards in the provision of engineering solutions.
  • **Audits and Compliance:** Carry out audits to ensure compliance to processes.
  • **Industry Knowledge:** Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, techniques, and technologies related to NDT and welding inspections.
Requirements:
  • **Knowledge and Experience:** Knowledge of ISO and other management systems, with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience within the engineering industry.
  • **Skills and Qualifications:** Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret results of NDT inspections, full driving license, familiarity with welding procedures, quality management systems, and inspection techniques.
  • **Personal Qualities:** High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, willingness to travel and work away from home when required, exceptional safety and quality awareness, and strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
