Harrington Starr is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Cyber Resilience Team in a newly formed role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security testing and vulnerability management, with experience in overseeing third-party penetration testing and vulnerability management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain frameworks, policies, and procedures for penetration testing, threat modeling, application security, and vulnerability management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead all penetration testing activities, including CBEST via third-party vendors, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective risk management.
- Oversee vulnerability scanning and management, working closely with the vulnerability management team to identify and remediate security threats.
- Collaborate with the business to develop and implement remediation strategies, ensuring effective mitigation of security risks.
- Provide expert guidance on cloud security and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) to ensure the organization's cyber resilience.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with C-level executives and other key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on security-related matters.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a lead or management role, overseeing third-party penetration testing and vulnerability management activities.
- Background in a regulated environment, preferably in the financial services sector.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements for cyber resilience testing, including the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the Bank of England's Operational Resilience framework.
- Experience in managing a portfolio of security testing projects, with a strong understanding of security frameworks and vulnerability management tools.
- Technical expertise in penetration testing, including certifications such as OCSP, CREST, and CHECK.
