About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative individual to join our team as a Creative Artistic Youth Worker at a thriving Primary school in Swindon. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the arts and a passion for working with children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work one-to-one with pupils, providing individualized support and creative activities to promote confidence and engagement.
  • Support within the classroom, using creative strategies to engage and motivate students with a variety of needs and emotions.
  • Develop and implement sensory and therapy strategies to support the holistic approach to learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure consistency and familiarity in the learning environment.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods to present engaging and thoughtful lessons and CPD sessions.
Requirements
  • Strong creative background in arts, sensory, therapy, or drama.
  • Experience working with children with complex needs, including ASD, behavioural difficulties, and SEMH needs.
  • Ability to work adaptably and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of children.
