We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer - Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Resourcing Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out general plumbing works, gas servicing and safety works, boiler and plumbing fault finding and repair works, and gas appliance servicing works.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out general plumbing works, including repairs and installation works as required.
- Perform gas servicing and safety works to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct boiler and plumbing fault finding and repair works to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Servicing and maintenance of gas appliances, including fires and cookers.
- Unvented cylinder checks and services as required.
- Implement the Association's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Respond to emergency and routine repairs within target timescales, recording the time an emergency repair has been made safe.
- Communicate with customers and report back to relevant colleagues on appointment requirements and job updates.
- Manage and be responsible for van stock assigned to your vehicle, ensuring that electronic purchase orders and timesheets are updated after each job.
- Use the PDA as instructed, adding notes to all jobs as to works done and updates.
- Ensure that storage areas and vehicles are kept tidy and locked at all times when unattended.
- Maintain all loose tools and equipment in good working order, serviced regularly where required.
- Ensure customer appointments are kept to time and communication is maintained with the customer at all times.
- Manage workload, including reactive maintenance, and report performance issues to your supervisor or Manager.
- Support other team members wherever possible to keep the customer at the forefront of your role.
- Update customer information using your PDA.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Excellent plumbing and gas engineering skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use a PDA.
