Design and Development Engineer

Hunter Selection Limited is seeking a highly skilled Design and Development Engineer to join a world-renowned business specializing in the supply of high-quality components to the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and/or development test work on current and future products
  • Ensure work is completed to meet agreed project schedules
  • Deliver cost-effective solutions
  • Strong liaison with internal and external suppliers and customers
  • Work simultaneously across a variety of different projects & activities
  • Champion innovative and efficient methods of test and validation
  • Completion of design activities including CAD, FMEA, calculations & tolerance layouts
  • Participate in technical design reviews & support of IPR activities
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalence
  • Minimum of five years design, development and/or project engineering experience, preferably in an automotive environment
  • Working knowledge of CAD, preferably Pro-Engineer Creo 2
  • Practical experience of test methodology and test procedures
  • Understanding of materials and stress/strain theory & FE Analysis
