About the Role

We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our team in Devon County Council's Children's Services department. As a social worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments, regular visits, and access to support for children and young people in need.

About the Service

Our Disabled Children's Service is responsible for managing a wide range of statutory duties, working to improve the life chances of disabled children and young people. We work closely with agencies across health, education, care, and community to promote great joined-up planning in partnership with children, young people, and their families.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience of working within social care, including working in a multi-agency and court environment.
  • The ability to build effective professional relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to children's social work.
