Job Description:

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing any electrical faults within the production site in Bradford. The Electrical Engineer will ensure that electrical systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and testing of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to production and maintenance staff as needed.
  • Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Carry out fault diagnosis and first-line repairs where task competent to do so, including lubrication, breakdown repair, changeover, and running adjustments.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete all relevant reports and accurately maintain in engineering CMMS records.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3, Time Served in an Apprenticeship, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering in a food production or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
