About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Audit and Accounts Associate to provide exceptional audit and accounting services to our clients. This position involves working closely with the Corporate Services team to ensure high-quality deliverables and contribute to the overall growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist partners and managers in delivering top-notch services to clients, focusing on compliance and planning matters.
  • Manage and execute various ad hoc projects and assignments efficiently.
  • Review and prepare client accounts, tax, or VAT-related work, ensuring adherence to required standards.
  • Conduct remuneration planning exercises as needed.
  • Complete and supervise audit assignments, either on-site or remotely.
  • Support complex technical client audit, accounts, and taxation compliance work for corporate clients.
  • Identify potential areas for additional services and value-added advice for clients.
  • Finalize documentation for timely dispatch to clients and relevant authorities, meeting all deadlines.
  • Engage with clients to gather necessary information for their accounts, demonstrating proactive communication and attention to detail.
  • Monitor job quality and quantity, striving to meet and exceed agreed budgets.
  • Record chargeable time accurately to ensure maximum recovery.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and supervision to trainees, reviewing their assignments.
  • Participate in relevant training courses to enhance job-related skills.
  • Utilize support networks to clarify complex queries related to accounting software.
  • Prepare client tax returns based on provided information, advising on tax liabilities and deadlines.
  • Assist clients with accounting software and other inquiries as necessary.
  • Participate in client seminars and networking events under the guidance of senior team members.

Essential Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creativity in generating ideas.
  • Proficient computer literacy.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to efficiently review and prepare client accounts, tax, or VAT.
Knowledge Requirements:
  • Comprehensive understanding of various taxes.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems, including cloud-based software.
  • In-depth knowledge of account preparation.
Qualifications:
  • Essential: ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Desirable: Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
  • Essential: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an accounting practice.
  • Desirable: Experience with cloud accounting software.
