Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shunter Driver to join our team at Auto Skills UK. As a Shunter Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and maneuvering vehicles within our railway yard, ensuring the efficient movement of assets and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Transport assets to and from the onsite ATF Lane for MOT testing
  • Conduct voluntary brake testing to ensure vehicle safety
  • Operate yard shunting and workshop shunting equipment
  • Liaise with personnel on the ATF Lane to ensure smooth operations
  • Verify and complete compliance documentation accurately
  • Ensure all vehicles are driven and operated in accordance with the law
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • HGV Class 1 Licence
  • Tacho Card and CPC
  • A clean driving licence
